After spending big to land Kirk Cousins, the Minnesota Vikings will have to be savvy about how they spend in free agency. But that doesn’t mean they will ignore the market.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Vikings have inquired about defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson, who spent last season with the Seattle Seahawks.
The former Jet only had one sack for the Seahawks last year, but has totaled as many as 8.0 in a single season during his career. He did create pressure for Seattle, picking up 28 hurries and seven QB hits according to Pro Football Focus.
Richardson won’t be the biggest name on the market as the Dolphins officially released Ndamukong Suh on Wednesday.
While the #Vikings aren’t expected to make any big moves in the first wave of free agency (besides youknowwho), they have inquired about DL Sheldon Richardson, per sources. #Seahawks would like to retain him.
