The Minnesota Vikings could be losing another player to free agency.
San Francisco Chronicle reporter Vic Tafur is reporting that wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is “closing in on a deal” with the Oakland Raiders.

Patterson has spent the last two days retweeting fans and writing on his Snapchat that he wants to return to the Minnesota Vikings. He visited Washington and Chicago earlier this week.
If the deal is finalized and the Vikings’ former first-round pick lands elsewhere, his exit may be the most bemoaned by fans of all the players who have left in free agency this year, which includes left tackle Matt Kalil and nickel cornerback Captain Munnerlyn.
Patterson reinvigorated his career in 2016, becoming a significant part of the offense after riding the bench for the entire 2015 season. He caught 52 passes last season and also was the NFL’s top kick returner in yards per return.
