Just days after having surgery for a detached retina, Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer was back on the practice field with his team. Zimmer, who was forced to miss Thursday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, was donning an eye patch over his right eye.
Zimmer is not scheduled to address the media on Tuesday, but will have his routine press conference on Wednesday.
Safety Harrison Smith was not present at practice. He was seen leaving the locker room Thursday night on crutches and with a boot on his left foot. Smith did not miss any time during the loss to the Cowboys, but had previously made injury reports and missed practice time with an ankle injury.
