Vikings coach Mike Zimmer has returned to his coaching duties and is expected to travel with the team to Jacksonville for Sunday’s game, according to a statement issued by the team on Monday.
Zimmer, 60, did not coach the Vikings in Thursday’s loss to Dallas at U.S. Bank Stadium after undergoing emergency eye surgery to repair a detached retina on Wednesday. Zimmer reportedly had a fourth procedure performed on the eye on Friday. Zimmer had his first eye surgery on Nov. 1 after he said he scratched his eye on Oct. 31 during a loss in Chicago.
Zimmer is scheduled to speak to the media at 11 a.m. Wednesday at his regular press conference at Winter Park.
