Adrian Peterson running sprints at Vikings practice

By Matthew Coller

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson ran several sprints with athletic trainer Eric Sugarman keeping watch during Tuesday’s practice.

Peterson has been out since Week 2 with a meniscus tear, which he underwent surgery to repair. ESPN’s Ben Goessling reported that the star running back is aiming for a mid-December return.

Also from practice, center Joe Berger was the only starter missing outside of Sharrif Floyd, who has been out since Week 1.

Safety Harrison Smith and nickel corner Captain Munnerlyn were both back with the team after missing the last two days of practice. They each are battling ankle injuries. Linebacker Eric Kendricks (hip) and Stefon Diggs (knee) were both on the field, giving the indication that they will play against Dallas on Thursday.

How will Adrian Peterson fit in the Vikings offense?
