EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — ‘Ooh’ swept across the stadium, replacing the cheers when Anthony Barr made impact with Philip Rivers’ torso.
Barr’s right forearm slammed into Rivers’ ribcage just as he let go of a pass in the Vikings’ 31-14 win on Sunday over San Diego. By the hit, at the end of the third quarter, Rivers knew Barr was coming, and not even his quick release could save him.
“I think he felt us all game,” Barr said. “And that kind of topped it off.”
