MINNEAPOLIS — Considering how poorly the Vikings performed in their regular-season opener last Monday at San Francisco, and how surprising it was that Mike Zimmer’s team appeared to be so unprepared, it was difficult to keep in mind that this was only one loss in a 16-game schedule.
“I told somebody, it felt like we were 0-10, not 0-1,” Zimmer said Sunday afternoon. “We had a lot of grouchy players last week, grouchy coaches.”
Zimmer didn’t even bring up the grouchy, not to mention, panic-stricken fan base that follows his team’s every move.
