EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — For the first time in four years, the Vikings are preparing against a Detroit Lions defense that will be without defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who left to sign with Miami in free agency.
In that December 11, 2011 divisional matchup against the Vikings, Suh was suspended after he stomped on the arm of Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith. Two years later, Suh received a $100,000 fine from the league after taking out center John Sullivan’s knees on an interception return.
