MANKATO, Minn. — Tuesday’s afternoon practice will mark the first time Vikings players don pads and begin playing actual football. For coach Mike Zimmer’s aggressive man coverage schemes, it’s also the first time his defensive backs can practice press and bump-and-run coverage.
The 2011 collective bargaining agreement prevents full contact during the offseason, including the first two days of training camp.
