MANKATO, Minn. — In one play, Mike Harris went from Vikings swing tackle to right guard after John Sullivan and Vlad Ducasse were both injured on the same snap in a Week 7 loss at Buffalo last season.
Harris will get more time to prepare now as he attempts to show coaches why he should be the Vikings’ starting right guard, despite not playing a single snap at the position until he was forced into action in October. Harris took first-team reps at right guard on Sunday, a plan the Vikings set in place after the offseason program ended in June.
