MINNEAPOLIS — Adam Thielen is a bit of an opportunist.
The undrafted wide receiver out of Minnesota State-Mankato who cut his teeth a season ago on the team’s practice squad, caught the first touchdown pass of his career Sunday in the Vikings’ 13-9 win against the Chicago Bears.
Thielen made an impression in training camp and made the team, but has primarily been used on special teams and in spot duty at receiver. He was in the game on offense in the second half in part because Jarius Wright was hurt and Cordarrelle Patterson was benched.
