Teddy Bridgewater appeared to give the Vikings a 21-7 lead heading into halftime of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
But Bridgewater’s 23-yard touch pass over Chase Ford’s shoulder was ruled out at the Dolphins’ 1 and even with a review, the close call stood and forced the Vikings to try again for the touchdown. Two failed tries led to the first crossroad for coach Mike Zimmer.
