EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Brandon Watts is having a big month.
Five family members watched from the Ford Field seats on Sunday as Watts made his NFL debut, playing nine special teams snaps in the Vikings’ 16-14 loss in Detroit. The 23-year-old rookie, who the Vikings drafted in the seventh round (223rd overall) in May, also says he’ll be active in Miami on Sunday to continue his role on special teams.
Watts is also preparing for fatherhood with a baby girl expected in two weeks.
