EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Mike Zimmer’s first year as a head coach has been eventful, to put it lightly.
He’s had plenty to manage from Monday through Saturday, between the slew of injuries, a rash of off-field incidents, the Friday he had to leave practice to go get kidney stones treated and, oh yeah, a guy named Adrian Peterson. But Zimmer, who is in his 21st NFL season, is also still learning to balance the juggling act of game management on Sundays.
