EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Blair Walsh had made just one of his last five field goal attempts, but he wanted another chance to win the game for the Vikings in the closing seconds in Detroit.
Walsh lined up for the 68-yard try, which fell just short and sealed the Vikings’ 16-14 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Walsh went 0-for-3 on the day, missing a 53-yard attempt wide right in the first half before his 26-yard attempt was blocked in the fourth quarter.
