The Vikings are now members of the billion dollar club.
At least that’s the case if you believe Forbes’ latest rankings of the 50 most valuable sports teams in the world.
The Vikings have moved up one spot on the list from a year ago, graduating to No. 34, and are now worth $1.007 billion. In 2013, after the Vikings had gained approval for a new stadium that will open in 2016, Forbes put a value of $975 million on Zygi Wilf’s franchise.
Forbes’ list is the latest reminder of the power of the NFL.
