Report: Another left tackle hits the free agent market

By Matthew Coller

Clady

Add another name to the list of possibilities at left tackle for the Minnesota Vikings.

The New York Jets declined to pick up a $1 million option bonus for left tackle Ryan Clady, according to the New York Daily News, which makes him an unrestricted free agent. Clady, who played nine games for the Jets last season and spent from 2008-2014 with the Denver Broncos.

Injuries have affected the former Pro Bowler’s play over the past three years as he has missed 21 games in that time span. A torn rotator cuff shortened his 2016 season and likely affected his play when he was in the lineup. By Pro Football Focus metrics, Clady ranked 62nd of 78 qualifying tackles.
