Minnesota quarterback Sam Bradford has been putting up numbers with the Vikings that are not only in rare NFL air, but are well above his career marks. He sits at the top of the NFL in completion percentage and is among league leaders in rating at 109.3. Bradford said Wednesday that his improved play can be traced back to when he finally felt 100 percent.
“I think a big part of it was getting healthy,” he said. “Coming off the two knee injuries and not having an offseason to prepare, I think last year somewhere in the middle of the year is when my body finally felt great and I wasn’t thinking about my knee when I was on the field, so I think that had a big part to do with it too.”
His stats reflect that mid-season as an Eagle the former No. 1 overall pick started his turnaround. Over his last seven games of 2015, Bradford posted a 97.0 quarterback rating.
“Everyone is different,” Bradford said. “Some guys are able to get back in there and feel normal quicker than others. Other guys it takes a little bit longer. I don’t know if there’s a set time where you can say, ‘it’s been X amount of weeks, he should feel normal now.’”
Bradford tore his ACL twice, which forced him to miss 31 games as a St. Louis Ram.
