Bleacher Report – Vikings

Several key Eagles players could miss Sunday vs. Vikings

By Matthew Coller

Washington ran all over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, controlling the clock and gaining 230 yards on the ground. The Minnesota Vikings should look at this week’s matchup against the Eagles as a golden opportunity for their running game to get rolling because defensive tackle Bennie Logan will not be in action after suffering a groin injury.

Logan isn’t the only one who could be missing as head coach Doug Pederson said that center Jason Kelce is battling plantar fasciitis and will sit out Wednesday’s practice. He is expected to play this week, but will face a tough task going against Minnesota’s defensive line. Stefan Wisniewski will take reps with the first team this week just in case according to ESPN.

The Eagles line is already without Lane Johnson, who was suspended for 10 games. for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy. Rookie Halapoulivaati Vaitai will reportedly stay at right tackle despite being overwhelmed Washington pass rusher Ryan Kerrigan.

Lane Johnson had given up 5 pressures over 159 pass-blocking snaps. Vaitai let up 5 vs. WAS alone, on 29 pass-blocking snaps. #Eagles @PFF
