The Vikings have signed tight end Brian Leonhardt to the practice squad.
The third-year tight end out of Bemidji State was with the Vikings in training camp.
To make room on the practice squad, the team cut cornerback Tre Roberson. The Vikings had signed Roberson (along with cornerback Julian Wilson) to the practice squad three weeks ago when Xavier Rhodes was dealing with an injury.
With Rhodes back and dominating in his past two games, perhaps the extra depth at defensive back wasn’t as pressing.
Leonhardt was recently cut from the Lions’ practice squad.
