Bleacher Report – Vikings

Giants may be short in secondary vs. Vikings

By Matthew Coller

The Minnesota Vikings have struggled at times on offense through the first three games, especially when it comes to successfully moving the ball downfield. On Monday night, they may have a chance to break off some big plays against the New York Giants’ dinged-up secondary.

ESPN Giants reporter Jordan Raanan reports the Giants only had two healthy safeties at practice on Thursday, Landon Collins and rookie Andrew Adams. They were forced to use offensive players on the scout team defense.

Veteran defensive back Leon Hall was reportedly helping out at safety, but the Giants will need him at cornerback if either rookie Eli Apple or Dominique Rogers-Cromartie cannot play. Both players were listed as “did not participate” on Friday’s injury report along with safeties Nat Berhe (concussion) and Darian Thompson (foot).

UPDATE: This is the official Giants injury report from Saturday.
