Bleacher Report – Vikings

Rhodes may play Sunday, Diggs misses practice as ‘precaution’

By Matthew Coller

Considering the Minnesota Vikings will face the most difficult passing game they’ve seen so far this season, it would be a boost to have cornerback Xavier Rhodes back in action. Head coach Mike Zimmer indicated the secondary may have their top corner in action.

“I think there’s a good possibility,” head coach Mike Zimmer said. “We’ll see.”

Rhodes missed the first two weeks with a knee injury after hearing a pop while stretching Week 1 against Tennessee.

“I feel good,” Rhodes said Friday. “It’s up to the coaches whether I go or not.”

The fourth-year corner, who had played all 16 games in 2014 and 2015, was listed as limited for the third straight practice.

Diggs sat out practice as a “precaution” according to Zimmer. He was listed on the injury report as having a groin injury. Zimmer said he expects Diggs to play.

Kyle Rudolph, Danielle Hunter and Eric Kendricks were all limited on Wednesday, but have fully participated both Thursday and Friday.
