Bradford in first-team huddle to begin practice Thursday

By Matthew Coller

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford was in the huddle with the first team at practice on Thursday.

Most have speculated that Bradford will start Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers, but head coach Mike Zimmer and both Bradford and Shaun Hill have not said which QB will be under center on Sunday night Football.

The Vikings ‘ shell game has continued all week during media availability as the team has had Bradford and Hill splitting warm-up reps. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers suggested on a conference call Wednesday that the Vikings probably knew who was starting because that QB would run with the first team after the media left.

General Manager Rick Spielman acquired Bradford from the Eagles for a first-round pick next year and conditional pick in 2018 only a week before the season started, which was not enough time for him to prepare to play the Titans. However, Bradford said he feels much more comfortable in the offense after having a week of practice.

Also at practice, left tackle Matt Kalil was on the field but did not have his helmet on. Sharrif Floyd and Xavier Rhodes were not practicing either.
