Vikings single-game tickets for U.S. Bank Stadium go on sale Wednesday

By Andrew Krammer

Two days before the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at U.S. Bank Stadium, fans will be able to claim what the Vikings are calling “an extremely limited number” of single-game tickets for the upcoming season.

Starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, individual tickets will be made available to the general public for 10 games (eight regular season, two preseason). Only about 4,000 tickets are expected to be available per game in the roughly 65,500-seat stadium. On Friday, the building officially opens.

The lowest single-game ticket prices are for the preseason exhibitions, starting at $28 on Aug. 28 vs. San Diego and Sept. 1 vs. Los Angeles. Prices start at $50 for home games against the Lions, Bears, Texans, Cardinals and Colts.

It’ll cost at least $58 for a ticket to three prime-time kickoffs, including the Sept. 18 home opener against Green Bay on Sunday Night Football. The Vikings also host the New York Giants on Monday, Oct. 3 and the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Most of the stadium’s seats are occupied by season-ticket holders, who had to purchase a one-time stadium-builder license in order to buy their tickets. The Vikings say they’ve sold 49,000 seat licenses with 700 remaining. To purchase licenses and season tickets, fans can call 952-918-8599.

Beginning Wednesday morning, single-game tickets can be purchased by credit card only via www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
