Bridgewater, Miller among NFL players to appear on ‘Celebrity Family Feud’

By Andrew Krammer

Teddy Bridgewater and Von Miller will be on opposing teams again, but this time there won’t be any back-cracking takedowns.

Bridgewater, Miller and 18 other NFL players will take part in this summer’s ‘Celebrity Family Feud’ series starting June 26 on ABC. A 10-episode series will include teams of musicians, pop stars, ‘Bachelors’ v. ‘Bachelorettes,’ actors, actresses and others of varying levels of fame. Snoop Dogg, Jalen Rose and a team of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models will be among those to make appearances in the summer-long series. Winning teams will be able to donate up to $25,000 to the charity of their choice.

Bridgewater, the Vikings’ 23-year-old franchise quarterback, will be joined by San Francisco’s Joe Staley, Arizona’s David Johnson, Detroit’s Marvin Jones and Washington’s Pierre Garcon among those playing for the NFLPA’s Professional Athletes Foundation, which was founded to support players transitioning from their playing careers.

They’re set to face a team labeled ‘AFC Defense,’ including Miller, Kansas City’s Tamba Hali, Oakland’s Malcolm Smith, San Diego’s Melvin Ingram and ex-Green Bay and Cincinnati linebacker A.J. Hawk.

Another NFL team includes Oakland’s Amari Cooper, New York’s Brandon Marshall, Baltimore’s Steve Smith, New England’s Marcus Cannon and Cincinnati’s Jeremy Hill facing a group with Carolina’s Thomas Davis, Washington’s Terrance Knighton, Arizona’s Tyrann Mathieu, Philadelphia’s Malcolm Jenkins and Seattle’s Cliff Avril.

Miller had one of seven sacks on Bridgewater in the Vikings’ narrow loss at Denver last season.
