MINNEAPOLIS — B.J. Dubose’s season is expected to be over after he tore an anterior cruciate ligament during Wednesday’s practice, a league source confirmed.
Dubose, 24, was helped off the field after injuring his knee during an 11-on-11 team drill, which began this week with the start of Organized Team Activities. It was just the second of 10 OTAs.
His second season will likely end on injured reserve. Dubose (6-4, 284) was set to compete for a roster spot behind starting defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd. Since Floyd was held out of Wednesday’s practice, Dubose was practicing with the second-team defense behind Tom Johnson before his injury.
The Vikings drafted Dubose in the sixth round (193rd overall) in 2015 out of Louisville.
