Vikings deal third-round pick to Dolphins for sixth-round pick, two 2017 selections

By Andrew Krammer

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — After selecting Clemson cornerback Mackensie Alexander with the 54th-overall pick, the Vikings decided that was enough for the NFL Draft’s second day.

The Vikings traded the third-round pick (86th) to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the Dolphins’ sixth-round pick (186th) and third- and fourth-round picks in 2017. The fourth-round pick next year will be Miami’s lowest available, whether that’s a compensatory pick or their original fourth-round selection.
The Vikings next pick comes at No. 118 overall in the fourth round on Saturday afternoon. They have six selections tomorrow.
