Bleacher Report – Vikings

Harrison Smith, Anthony Barr active and Exum Jr. to start for Vikings

By Andrew Krammer

MINNEAPOLIS — The Vikings get safety Harrison Smith back for Sunday’s noon kickoff against the Seattle Seahawks at TCF Bank Stadium.

Smith was questionable to play with an injured knee suffered two weeks ago against the Green Bay Packers. He’s active and will start after he was held out of the Vikings’ win in Atlanta last week. Linebacker Anthony Barr (hand/groin) is also active and will start after being listed questionable.

Safety Andrew Sendejo (knee) and nose tackle Linval Joseph (foot) are inactive and will not play after being ruled out on Friday because of injuries. Antone Exum Jr. will get his second career start in Sendejo’s stead.

With Joseph down, the Vikings have moved Sharrif Floyd to nose tackle. It’ll be Floyd’s first career start at nose, with Tom Johnson filling in the three-technique defensive tackle spot.

Vikings’ inactives: QB Taylor Heinicke, LB Edmond Robinson, T Jeremiah Sirles, C Nick Easton, Sendejo, Joseph and DE Justin Trattou

Seahawks’ inactives: CB Tye Smith, RB Marshawn Lynch, CB Cary Williams, OL Kristjan Sokoli, TE Chase Coffman, DE Demarcus Dobbs and DT Jordan Hill
