Bleacher Report – Vikings

Harrison Smith taking part in Wednesday’s practice for Vikings

By Andrew Krammer

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings took the practice field Wednesday for the first time since Sunday’s 20-10 win in Atlanta, with safety Harrison Smith on hand.

Smith was held out against the Falcons for the first time this season as he recovers from a knee injury suffered the week prior versus the Green Bay Packers. He did practice on a limited basis Friday, before the team initially deemed him questionable, then downgraded him to out a day before kickoff in Atlanta.

Asked if there was a chance the Vikings would again be without Smith or Andrew Sendejo, who left Sunday’s game with a knee injury, coach Mike Zimmer responded with “there’s a possibility if I lose 100 pounds, I could be a jockey.”

Sendejo (knee) and defensive tackle Linval Joseph (unknown) were the only Vikings players absent at the start of practice, or the roughly 15 minutes media are allowed to watch.

An official injury report will be released and posted here this afternoon.
