EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Running back Adrian Peterson donned pads on Monday for the first time since he left practice nearly a week ago.
Peterson, 30, suffered a thigh bruise in an inside run drill during a training camp practice in Mankato last Tuesday. The Vikings held him out the rest of the week and he made his return to individual drills during Monday’s practice, the first back at the Winter Park training facilities in Eden Prairie, Minn.
Peterson did not take part in any team drills, ceding those reps to Jerick McKinnon.
