The Vikings signed former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ryan Whalen on Saturday.
Whalen, 26, has been out of the NFL since he was released by the Bengals following the 2014 preseason. He played three seasons in Cincinnati after the Bengals drafted him in the sixth round (167th overall) in 2011 out of Stanford. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer was Cincinnati’s defensive coordinator in those three seasons.
Listed 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Whalen has 11 career catches for 80 yards in 17 games.
