EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — As the Vikings wrapped up the final practice on Thursday before training camp, coach Mike Zimmer said his players were beginning to reflect “what I want us to be like,” as far as personality and approach to the game.
That includes receiver Mike Wallace, who was traded from Miami to Minnesota a couple months ago for a fifth-round pick. Wallace, 28, has settled in as the starting flanker, or ‘Z’ receiver, in Norv Turner’s offense, and hasn’t shied away from playful banter with his new coaches.
