The NFL regular season scheudle was released on Tuesday night and the Minnesota Vikings are one of four teams to play on the first Monday night.
The Vikings will open the season at the San Francisco 49ers, seeing the Monday primetime lights for the first time since Josh Freeman started at quarterback in October 2013. The NFL schedule makers clearly feel the Vikings are now on a different track. The national intrigue over Adrian Peterson doesn’t hurt, either.
Minnesota will also travel to Arizona in December for a Thursday night game.
