The Vikings added more depth on defense with the signing of former Canadian Football League linebacker Brian Peters.
Peters, 26, is joining his first NFL team after starting off in the Arena Football League following his college career at Northwestern. He has played safety, starting 13 games there for the Wildcats in 2010. Peters led the Saskatchewan Roughriders with 78 tackles, including three sacks, and two interceptions in 2014.
General manager Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer don’t expect to be big players in free agency and they’ve continued to add pieces…
