The Minnesota Vikings (1-2) dropped the first road game of the season in a 20-9 loss in the Superdome to the New Orleans Saints (1-2) on Sunday.
Rookie Teddy Bridgewater (40) made his NFL debut with Matt Cassel going down on the 16th snap to a broken foot. The defense kept the game close, though the Vikings were able to score just once on Bridgewater’s four drives. Sharrif Floyd (28) played fewer than 40 percent of the snaps as rookie Shamar Stephen saw a career-high 36 plays.
