MANKATO, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings signed tight end Kory Sperry to the 90-man roster on Sunday.
Sperry is a five-year NFL veteran, most recently with the Arizona Cardinals since 2012. Sperry played under current Vikings OC Norv Turner while he was with the San Diego Chargers.
He takes undrafted free agent AC Leonard’s spot, who was cut last week. The backup role to tight end Kyle Rudolph is open as Sperry joins Rhett Ellison, Mike Higgins and Allen Reisner in competing for the job.
