Vikings nose tackle Linval Joseph was struck in his calf by a stray bullet, the team announced Saturday morning. The team called the inury “minor,” and said that he’s expected to return to his coaches and teammates this week.
Joseph was a bystander to a shooting that took place at the 400 Soundbar in downtown Minneapolis, according to the team. This happened after the Vikings preseason win against the Oakland Raiders at TCF Bank Stadium.
Joseph was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was treated for his injury and released, the team said.
