EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have drafted Oregon State defensive end Scott Crichton with the 72nd overall pick in the third round on Friday night.
Crichton had 7? sacks for the Beavers last season as the Vikings continue to concentrate on upgrading the defensive line. Jared Allen and Kevin Williams are gone, and the Vikings have made it a priority to upgrade the pass rush in the pass-happy NFC North.
The Vikings chose UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr with the ninth pick and Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater with the 32nd pick in the first round on Thursday.
The Vikings also had the 96th overall pick, which is the final pick of the third round.
