EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings will not trade Christian Ponder.
That’s what Vikings GM Rick Spielman said Tuesday at Winter Park, anyway.
It’s likely that NFL personnel people have employed smokescreens for quite some time, but for what it’s worth, Spielman was quick to dismiss the notion Tuesday that the Vikings might trade the quarterback he drafted far too high in 2011.
Has Spielman had conversations about trades involving Ponder?
“No, I’m not going to comment on who or what but I can tell you that no, and Ponder, we wouldn’t trade Ponder,”…
