The Minnesota Vikings now have six free agents on the market after former quarterback/receiver Joe Webb signed with the Carolina Panthers on Friday — as a quarterback.
Webb, 27, was a sixth-round pick by the Vikings (199th overall) in 2010 and had played both positions at the University of Alabama-Birmingham before he was drafted as a receiver by then-coach Brad Childress. He made his first appearance as a quarterback for the Vikings later that season against the New York Giants and made his first career start under center in a Tuesday night win at the Philadelphia…
