MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Vikings now have a new run-stopping defensive tackle to pair alongside last year’s first-round pick.
On Wednesday, the Vikings announced they agreed to terms with the 6-foot-4, 328-pound DT Linval Joseph, who spent the last four seasons with the New York Giants. The 25-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of East Carolina.
Joseph will likely be paired with last year’s first-round pick DT Shariff Floyd, along with defensive ends Everson Griffen and Brian Robison.
The Vikings also signed former linebacker Jasper Brinkley, who spent the 2013 season with the Arizona Cardinals after being drafted by the Vikings in 2009.
