Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said they likely aren’t using their franchise tag, the deadline is Monday at 3 p.m. CT.
“We’re here,” Spielman said from Gophers Pro Day. “Though I suppose deals can always be done over the phone.”
Spielman, new coach Mike Zimmer, offensive coordinator Norv Turner, defensive coordinator George Edwards and a handful of other Vikings coaches attended the Gophers mini-Combine.
Though the Vikings have 16 unrestricted free agents, it seemed unlikely any warranted the tag especially with the Vikings track…
