EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel will get his fourth start of the season on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, coach Leslie Frazier announced.
Cassel, 31, can opt out of his second year with the Vikings this offseason, but will get at least one more start over Christian Ponder and Josh Freeman. Ponder is slated to be backup with Freeman inactive.
