Even though it doesn’t feel like it, Sunday’s Vikings-Packers game will be of some historic significance. The Packers have announced that Scott Tolzien will start this week in place of the injured Aaron Rodgers. And in all likelihood, Brett Favre won’t start for the Vikings.
That makes this weekend the first game between the Vikings and Packers since 1992 that neither Rodgers nor Favre appeared in the game. The last quarterback to start for the Packers in the rivalry? Don Majkowski, as pointed out on Twitter on Monday by ESPN.com’s Ben Goessling (@GoesslingESPN).
