Bleacher Report – Vikings

Vikings cornerback Chris Cook injured groin, will miss rest of game

Vikings cornerback Chris Cook tweaked is groin in the first half Sunday and will not return, according to the team.

When Cook initially went to the sidelines, he was listed as “probable” to return, but was downgraded to “questionable” before being ruled out during half time.

With Cook out, A.J. Jefferson played right corner in the nickel, but was replaced by Marcus Sherels after one series. The Vikings depth at cornerback – a position that played poorly in the first half against the Browns – will be tested without Cook.

In three seasons, Cook has never played a full year. His career high for starts is 10, which he started in 2012.

His Cook, the groin injury has been a recurring problem. He had issues with it in the preseason and missed time because of it.
