EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — According to his agent on Twitter, Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo has been resigned to a two-year contract extension reportedly worth $2 million through 2015.

Sendejo, 26, was an exclusive rights free agent after 2012 and was offered a contract before the start of the new league year on March 12 to retain his negotiating rights.

Now, the standout special teams player is reportedly guaranteed $400,000 with up to $600,000 available through incentives.

Sendejo played 13 games for the Vikings last season after being limited with an ankle injury, but his contract extension is relatively the first sign he’s made it in the NFL. The Rice product went undrafted in 2010 and even made a brief appearance in the UFL before landing with the Vikings in 2011.
