Minneapolis, MN – Two days removed from the actual act, the NFL announced Tuesday that they had fined Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh $100,000 for his illegal low block on Vikings center John Sullivan Sunday in Detroit.

Sullivan, who joined KFAN on Monday, told Paul Allen that ” there need be consequences when guys don’t respect the careers of other players.” Suh, a repeat offender and your odds on favorite for dirtiest player in the NFL, most likely got an inflated penalty because of his past transgressions which include kicking Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin and multiple hits after the whistle.

According to Sullivan, Suh did offer up and apology, which was accepted.

UPDATE: Yesterday afternoon, Vikings coach Leslie Frazier joined Dan Barreiro and commented on the issue.

“You have to trust the league’s judgment regarding player discipline,” Frazier told KFAN. “Maybe if they were to talk to me about it in the offseason, myself or other coaches, and get our opinion I’d be glad to share my thoughts. It almost doesn’t matter Dan what I say on that matter. They’re going to handle it the way that they handle it. I’d love to one day get to poll coaches and get to ask them what they think about this matter. Maybe that will happen.”
