vikings.com looks back on the (short) week what was at Winter Park via the “Winter Park Rewind.”

August 26

Coming on the heels of Sunday’s loss to the 49ers, Monday was a very busy day at Winter Park. The day started of with Mike Wobschall’s Monday Morning Mailbag which you can read here. In the afternoon the team issued a pair of statements: the bad news was that Jerome Felton will be suspended for the first three games of the season.  However, good news came down regarding Kevin Williams‘ knee injury, as Leslie Frazier announced that Williams did not suffer any ligament damaage and will hopefully be ready for the week one game at Detroit.

Watch a video here with the NFL Network crew debating whether or not the hit on Williams was cheap (EDITOR’S NOTE: it was).

Despite it being a day off for the players, Adrian Peterson visited the Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis as a part of his new parternship with the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.  Read about that here, view photos of the visit here, and watch a video recap of his visit below.

On Monday night, the Vikings announced that they had cut 13 players.  View that list here.  On Tuesday,

Greg Childs was added to the PUP list to get the roster down to 75.August 27

Wobschall recapped the busy day that was Monday and looked ahead to the short week.

We posted a AP article showcasing five Vikings storylines heading into the regular season.

On a lighter note, we posted an NFL Network video featuring Sharrif Floyd mowing down pizzas like there’s no tomorrow.

Frazier addressed the media after the teams’ morning walk-thru.After practice, Jared Allen and Chad Greenway has plenty to say about the cheap hit on Kevin Williams and the fact there will be no punishment handed down from the NFL. Watch Allen’s comments below.
