Minneapolis, MN – It’s the very last thing that any one wants to see during the fourth and final preseason game but it took place at Mall Of America Field Thursday night.
With the second quarter winding to a close, Minnesota Vikings backup offensive guard Seth Olsen went down in a heap. It was a knee to the back of the head that sent the 6’5″, 305lb veteran to the ground where he laid motionless for three minutes as trainers attended and a stretcher was brought out onto the field.
While being carted off the field, Olsen was able to move his hands and gestured a thumbs up to the fans at Mall of America Field.
Olsen, a four year veteran, signed with the Vikings during the offseason after spending last season with the Indianapolis Colts.
